RIP-IT wanted to tell their brand story through the eyes of fast-pitch softball players.
I helped them craft an authentic and heartwarming brand film that spoke to the connection both RIP-IT and their customers share for the game.
RIP-IT is an Orlando-based fast-pitch softball company that was born out of a Father’s desire to protect his daughter after she’d broken her nose while playing softball. The brand has since gone on to pioneer a wealth of innovative products across a slew of different sports, all designed to give young women the equipment they need to perform their best.
We sought to create a brand film that was engaging to multiple demographics at the same time. I conceptualized a story based on the idea of “passing the torch” from one generation to another.
Project Scope
My Contribution
- Brand Film Concept
- Creative Direction
- Scriptwriting
- Video Production
- Editing
Seeking to be as authentic as possible, we cast real fast-pitch softball players for the lead roles and shot all of the on-the-field footage at a locally at the Winter Springs High School softball field.

Project Outcome
We were able to craft an authentic love letter to fastpitch softball as well as the journey RIP-IT takes with its customers.
We delivered a variety of cutdowns of the brand film ranging from the full-length 2:16 version, down to a :30 social cut.
